PROCESSING OF POLYMERS AND COMPOSITES

16-22 102
Abstract

Technological aspects of obtaining decorative paint material of industrial purpose with the effect of crackle, which is based on a solution of perchlorovinyl resin in a solvent using iron oxide pigments, have been developed. Conditions of paint material cracking were investigated, as well as technical characteristics of paint coating were obtained based on the developed decorative system of paint materials. Paint material is intended for application by pneumatic spraying, roller or brush on elastic primer

Abstract

The issues of the formulation of paint and varnish materials used for painting parquet and laminate using the conveyor roller method are considered. The interrelation of the component composition, technological parameters of curing with coating properties is shown.

PHYSICO-CHEMICAL RESEARCH

Abstract

This paper presents the results of full-scale climatic tests of acrylic coatings in various colors, according to the international RAL color matching system (7016, 7024, 8017, 9003, 9005 — from the RAL Classic palette), designed to protect polyvinyl chloride products. The protective and decorative properties and weather resistance of dark-colored and white coatings were studied, and the aging of the material was assessed over 10 months of exposure in three climatic zones of Vietnam’s tropical climate temperate tropical, tropical monsoon, and subequatorial. The protective and decorative properties of the coatings were assessed both visually and by changes in optical characteristics — color and gloss. The results of full-scale tests demonstrated good weather resistance of the protective acrylic coatings in tropical conditions.

Abstract

A series of modified amine curing agents AMIKOR based on amine adducts, Mannich bases, and their combinations has been developed. The structures of the synthesized samples were verified by IR spectroscopy. The chemical resistance of varnish epoxy systems based on the synthesized and commercial curing agents to distilled water, sulfuric acid, sodium hydroxide solution, and toluene was investigated using gravimetric sorption measurements. The characteristics of diffusion processes were assessed by determining diffusion coefficients.

CHEMICAL TECHNOLOGIES

Abstract

Modern approaches to the creation of functional coatings increasingly rely on ultraviolet (UV) curing technology — a method that ensures high speed in the formation of stable polymer structures. This approach is particularly effective for products requiring precise control over thickness, surface morphology, and the dynamics of physicochemical processes during coating formation. Of particular value is the integration of nanoscale components (e.g., titanium dioxide, zinc oxides, or carbon nanoparticles) directly into the top layer subjected to UV activation. Such systems not only enhance mechanical strength and heat resistance but also implement multifunctional effects: from improving light-protective properties to regulating surface energy.

ENGINEERING

Abstract

This article examines organizational and technological engineering issues, including the creation, intensification, and management of innovative business processes in the paint industry. An algorithm for selecting energy-efficient, environmentally friendly technologies using a logical information model is proposed. Intensification, energy efficiency, and economic feasibility are the key criteria for innovative paint technologies today.

Abstract

This work is devoted to evaluating the effectiveness of defoamers on organosoluble and water-dispersion systems for the base components of pigment pastes. The influence of the nature of the defoamer on the foaming process using various methods is shown. The optimal defoamers for these systems were determined, which effectively prevent foaming and the appearance of microfoam.
