Abstract

An important stage in the production of paint and varnish materials is the optimization of the process of dispersion of pigments and fillers. It is for this purpose that the V. S. Lebedev Makromer LLC manufactures and offers polycarboxylate dispersants used in the production of water-dispersion paints.

In this paper, the effect of dispersants structure on their efficiency was studied. Based on what was studied, it was found that all the presented samples are highly effective, have electrosteric action, which in turn affects the rheological properties of paints.

The paper analyzes the study of the dependence of paste viscosity on the concentration of dispersants. Due to the double mechanism of stabilization, the rheological properties of paint and its stability are less sensitive to the concentration of dispersants, which facilitates the task of formulators.

Macromer dispersants find application in the production of paint and varnish materials, where they can be used in a wide variety of paint formulations with the introduction of new segments that improve the main indicators of their properties.

Abstract

The analysis of existing approaches to assessing the manufacturability of projects in industrial construction is carried out. A model for assessing the overall manufacturability is proposed using the example of coatings production. A new component of the model has been introduced — environmental adaptability. A method for calculating environmental adaptability is presented.

Abstract

Developed and manufactured in Russia, the paint coating based on the DEP enamel, TU 6992-002-08621486-2013, was tested at temperature cycles ranging from –196 °C to +120 °C and from –196 °C to +200 °C. It was found that the coating retained adhesion to the metal substrate. This coating may be looked at as a promising protective coating for equipment, piping and building structures that are used in the liquefied natural gas (LNG) industry and that are operated at temperatures periodically varying from near a liquefied natural gas temperature to positive values.

Abstract

Climatic tests of polymer materials based on polyamidobenzimidazoles have been carried out. Stable imidazoline nitroxyl radicals and carbon black were used as stabilizers of polymer properties. The materials were exhibited at the climatic station of the Institute of Physico-Technical Problems of the North of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences in accordance with GOST 9.906-83.
